I am still awing over this sweet in home newborn session in St. Francisville,LA .

Ten little fingers. Ten Little Toes. And an absolutely gorgeous baby GIRL!

I’m so excited about sharing The Lanoha family’s newborn session with you, and for a very special reason. If you know me, then you probably know that the mom of this sweet baby girl is my best friend! And if you didn’t, well now you do! We went to high school together, had the same group of friends through college, were a part each other’s weddings, and so many more memories I cannot even count them. So not only was I honored to be able to capture these images for her, I was equally as excited about holding her new baby girl and spending time with their family for the first time since baby girl’s birth!

I love all babies. To me they are all just precious and sweet and squishy! However some babies are just beautiful, and this sweet girl is definitely one of them. There is something very dainty about her. When I held her, the first thing I noticed was her little hands. She has the tiniest hands I’ve ever seen on a baby. I just couldn’t believe it. It’s funny how you forget just how tiny babies are, especially a preemie. She was so calm, sleepy, and handled so well I couldn’t believe it. Exactly what you want for a newborn session, and for a friend wanting to steal her baby girl all day.

She arrived a little earlier than expected and had been very much anticipated by her big brother and sister! They anxiously ran up and down the hallways while waiting for their turn with the baby. When it was finally their turn to be in some of the photographs with her, they were so sweet it just melted my heart. They snuggled her, and kissed her, and were so patient and gentle. I’m sure that’s probably going to change over time, but for now I’m sure they will cherish those moments.

Kalli and Jason, Thank you so much for having me document this time for you. It truly meant the world to me. She is absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to come hold her again soon!
